Stinson Closes Out Big Season

Although she had a breakout year for the WNBA's Charlotte Sting, Andrea Stinson will probably have a bitter taste in her mouth for months to come.

Despite the sometimes-heroic efforts of the former NC State star, the Sting (8-24) finished the regular season with the league's worst record after falling to Indiana, 67-51, on Aug. 9.

Just as she has done throughout the '99 campaign, Stinson led Charlotte with 17 points. For the season, Stinson was the WNBA's No. 7 scorer, averaging 17.7 points per game.
