Mapp Reaches Milestone

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 6) - On a night when the WNBA's Charlotte Sting finally notched a win on its home court, center Rhonda Mapp reached a career milestone.

The former NC State star scored 20-points--including the 1,000th of her career--as the Sting tripped up Miami 76-70 on July 5. With the win, Charlotte (3-13) snapped its league record nine game home losing streak.

Mapp reached the milestone on her first basket of the game. Her two free throws with 22 seconds remaining sealed the outcome.

Another former Wolfpack player, guard Andrea Stinson, added 13 for the Sting.
