The best women basketball players in the world have gathered in Phoenix for the WNBA All-Star Game on July 17. One of the stars who hopes to shine is Charlotte Sting guard Andrea Stinson.
The former NC State standout will be making her first All-Star Game appearance when she suits up for the Eastern Conference squad. In her last game before the break, Stinson put together an all-star performance.
In Charlotte's 76-73 victory over Washington on July 15, Stinson scored 22 of her game-high 24 points over the first 24 minutes. Currently ranked as the WNBA's 6th leading scorer (17.2 ppg.), Stinson was selected as an All-Star reserve by the Eastern Conference's eight head coaches.
The All-Star game tips off shortly after 8 p.m. eastern time on July 17 and will be televised by ESPN.
