Yow Inducted into Women's Basketball Hall of Fame

Knoxville, TN (June 10) - NC State women's basketball coach Kay Yow was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame on June 10 in Knoxville along with the 23 other members of the Hall of Fame's Class of 2000. Close to 900 people attended the Induction Gala, including more than 40 Wolfpack staff and fans that came in support of Coach Yow.
Yow and the other inductees spent the day attending functions and signing autographs at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame prior to the evening gala.
"I am so honored and humbled to be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame," said Yow. "I have truly been a part of something great at NC State and I represent all the players, staff and fans that have contributed to my success. I am especially thankful for my family, staff and friends that came to be with me tonight."
Yow has won 589 games in her collegiate coaching career, and has nine ACC titles, 15 NCAA appearances and two Olympic gold medals to her credit.
