NC State Picks up a Win Against East Carolina

Senior Marissa Gildemeister got the Pack started at the No. 1 spot with a win over Asa Ellbring in three sets, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. After Hrushida Kamthe picked up the Lady Pirates' lone singles win at the No. 2 slot over Brie Glover, 6-4, 6-3 the Wolfpack went on to win the next four singles matches.
ECU picked up two victories in doubles, first at the No. 1 position where the tandem of Ellbring and Kamthe defeated Bawono and Glover, 8-6. Then at the No. 2 spot, the Pack's Gildemeister and Worsley defeated Jordan and Kohl, 8-2. In the final doubles match at the No. 3, the duo of Kate Veazey and Terrill defeated NC State's Strader and Nicholls, 9-8.
The Pack will return to action this weekend when they take on the Deacons of Wake Forest Saturday at 12:00.
