Eric Jackson Named To All-ACC Men's Tennis Team

RALEIGH, NC (April 28) - Eric Jackson, an NC State men's tennis standout, has been named
to the 2000 All-ACC Team. Jackson,a junior who hails from Stone Mountain,
Ga., becomes the fourth member in the history of the Wolfpack program to be
named to the all-conference squad.

Jackson had a stupendous season for the Pack as he played at the No. 1 singles position in all 20 dual matches that he played. During the course of the year, he defeated such notable ranked opponents as Josh Goffi (Clemson), Xavier Luscan (Florida State), Harsh Mankad (Minnesota), Brett Masi (Cal Poly) and Doug Root (Duke).
NC State head coach Eric Hayes had praise for his pupil. "Eric has really begun to turn the corner this year," noted Hayes. "He has placed himself in excellent position to be a force in the ACC next season. I'm very proud of him!"
