NC State Gymnastics Places Fifth at NCAA Regionals

The Pack started out the competition on the bars. Sophomore Kelli Brown led the way for her team with a score of 9.775. Amy Langendorf also performed well for NC State on the bars with her tally of 9.750.
The next rotation found the Wolfpack on the balance beam. Sara Dolan, who hails from Ellicot City, Md., was the top NC State performer with a score of 9.725. Kara Charles had the second highest score for the Pack with a 9.700.
Following a bye rotation, NC State moved to one of its top events, the floor. Kelli Brown continued to impress for the Pack as the Spruce Creek, Pa. native scored a 9.825. Juniors Amy Langendorf and Kara Charles were a close NC State second with a 9.800.
NC State concluded its competition on the vault. For the third time on the evening, Kelli Brown was the top Wolfpack performer. Her total of 9.800 was .075 higher than teammate Kara Charles' 9.725.
The final rotation for the Pack was its second bye of the competition.
