NC State Men's Tennis Defeats UNCG, 4-3

Greensboro, NC (March 23) - With the score tied at three, NC State's Shaun Thomas held off Diego Goya of UNCG in the No. 4 singles match, 7-6, 7-6. That victory gave the Wolfpack, ranked 75th in the nation, a 4-3 victory over UNCG in men's tennis action on March 23 in Greensboro. The win evens the Pack's record at 7-7, while UNCG falls to 10-4 on the season.
NC State won two of three doubles matches to take the doubles point and an early 1-0 lead. After UNCG won three of the first five singles matches to tie the score at three, Thomas notched his winning decision.
NC State will return to action this Saturday as they take on three of the their in-state rivals. The Pack will host Campbell (10:00 am), High Point (2:00 pm) and Catawba (6:00 pm) at the Wolfpack Tennis Complex.
