The injury occurred in the final minute of the game against North Carolina on February 3. Erb went up for a layup with 36 seconds remaining when she was fouled by UNC's LaShonda Allen and landed awkwardly.
"First and foremost, I really hate it for Summer," said Coach Kay Yow. "I knew she would go strong down the stretch and would have an excellent chance to repeat as ACC Player of the Year and be a contender for other postseason honors.
"Summer has played a major role in us being a contender for the ACC regular season championship. We will need our young players to step it up another notch for us to continue to be a contender for the league title."
Erb is the Wolfpack's leading scorer and rebounder with 15.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per contest. She had one of her better games of the season against North Carolina Thursday, contributing 25 points and 16 rebounds.
