7UP Salutes NCSU Women's Basketball Head Coach Kay Yow

7UP will present Kay Yow with the first commemorative can produced at the February 13th basketball game. A limited supply of 7UP product and coupons will be distributed at the February 13th and February 24th NCSU women's basketball games in celebration of Coach Yow's legacy of success. The commemorative cans will be available at area retailers and vending machines beginning February 1st.

"We want to take this opportunity to honor Kay Yow for her outstanding contributions not only to NC State but to women's basketball across the country," said Bob Nunnenkamp, vice president of marketing for Pepsi Bottling Ventures, LLC.
Additional ceremonies will take place throughout the weekend of February 11th when former players and staff return to NCSU to honor Kay Yow. NCSU will also be retiring, for the first time, seven women's basketball jerseys.
"I am very excited and honored that 7UP would join me in celebrating my 25 years at NC State," said Coach Yow. "It is also a special tribute to all those who have contributed to our program's success."
Coach Yow's accomplishments while head coach include more than 585 career wins, four ACC Tournament Championships and two Olympic Gold Medals, in addition to being a 2000 Women's Hall of Fame Inductee.
