NC State Men's Tennis Falls To Brown

Chapel Hill, NC (Feb. 20)-- The NC State men's tennis squad fell for the third time in
as many attempts, as the No. 63 Brown Bears defeated the Pack 4-1 at the
Chapel Hill Racquet Club on Sunday. NC State, who entered the competition
ranked 69th in the latest ITA Collegiate Poll, now falls to 0-3 in dual
meets this season.
NC State's Eric Jackson was the lone bright spot for the Wolfpack on the day. In singles competition, Jackson disposed of the No. 63 singles player in the nation, Justin Natale, 6-4, 6-3. Jackson then teamed up with Keith Salmon to dispose of Brown's No. 1 doubles team of Natale and Nicholas Malone, 8-4. Jackson's two victories were the only two wins picked up by the Pack on the day.
Next weekend, the Pack will be on the road to the great northeast. On Friday and Saturday they will travel to meet Pennsylvania and Princeton, respectively. The match at Penn will start at 3:00 pm while NC State will meet Princeton at Noon.
