Mayor Coble Proclaims Sunday Kay Yow Day

RALEIGH, NC - Raleigh Mayor Paul Coble has proclaimed Sunday, February 13 "Kay Yow Day' in the capital city as part of the weekend celebration of Yow's 25th anniversary as head women's basketball coach at NC State.
In this proclamation Coble writes, "Kay Yow has turned the women's basketball program at NC State into a national contender, with four Atlantic Coast Conference championships, an appearance in the 1998 Final Four and 18 appearances in postseason tournaments."
In addition to Sunday being named Kay Yow Day in Raleigh, the legendary coach will also be honored in a ceremony following the women's basketball game against Clemson at 2 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.
