Fisher and Robinson Honored by AP

Fisher was named to the second-team defensive team, while Robinson earned third-team honors. Fisher's second-team honor by the Associated Press was the highest for a Wolfpack defensive player since Mike Reid was a second-team honoree by the AP in 1992. Robinson is the fourth Wolfpack wide receiver to garner All-American honors in school history.
The junior from Beaufort, N.C., Fisher led the nation in tackles with an average of 15.4 tackles per game. In 11 games at weakside linebacker, Fisher had 166 total tackles, the sixth-highest total in school history. He has 18 games of 10 or more tackles, including 10 of the 11 games this season.
A finalist for the Bronco Nagurski Award, Fisher was selected by the Football Writers Association of America and Football News a first-team All-American linebacker. He was also a BCS.com second-team All-American. This season, Fisher tied the school record for forced fumbles in a season with five. He has posted a career-high 21 tackles at Maryland, the fourth-highest total in school history. and had two of the top games of his career against two teams ranked in the top-six nationally.. He tallied 19 tackles versus #5 Clemson and 20 versus #6 Florida State.
Robinson had a career year for the Wolfpack, finishing with 62 catches for 1,061 yards and 13 touchdowns. His 62 catches and 13 touchdown receptions were tied for the second-most in school history. His 1,061 receiving yards were third. A first-team All-ACC performer as a wide receiver and return specialist, Robinson tied three school records this past season. He set the school mark for consecutive 100-yard games with six and tied school marks for 100-yard receiving games in a season with eight and a career with 14. The sophomore for Belmont, N.C., has caught a pass in 18 straight games and has recorded 100-yards or more receiving in three of the last four games. He caught nine passes for 121 yards against Virginia on November 18 and seven passes for 156 yards in the Pack's 35-31 win over Duke on November 11.
He ranked first in the ACC in receptions per game (5.6), all-purpose yards per game (170.9) and punt returns (15.6).
As a returner, Robinson returned 20 kicks for 506 yards, while also returning 14 punts for 261 yards and a touchdown.
