Qualifying Begins at 2000 ITA Southeast Regional

Worsley, a sophomore, won her opening round match against Jessica St. John of Appalachian State easily, 6-0, 6-0. In her second round match-up she was defeated, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2 by Leigh Bradwell of Kentucky. Bradwells win qualified her to enter the main draw of the singles bracket that will begin play Friday morning.
Bawano, also a sophomore, was defeated in her opening round match by Isabel Declerq of Campbell, 6-1, 7-6 (7-1). She will team with freshman Kristin Lam in the doubles bracket that will begin play Friday afternoon at 3:30 against Mami Inoue and Paty Vega of East Tennessee State. Lam is also slated to play in the main draw of the singles bracket against Sara Whitten of Kentucky at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
The tournament runs all weekend and will conclude with the finals on Monday, November 6.
