Wolfpack Women Open Season

NC State's 19-ranked women's basketball team will open the 2000-01
season by hosting the GlaxoWellcome Invitational this weekend in Reynolds
Coliseum. The tournament features three nationally-ranked teams along
with local Elon College. Wisconsin (#18) and Oregon (#23) join NC State
in the Associated Press top-25 poll.
The Wolfpack will face Elon in the 1 p.m. matchup on Saturday. Oregon and Wisconsin will follow at 3 p.m. The tournament consolation game will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday with the championship game immediately following. The Pack will be looking to claim the tournament title for the second consecutive year.
Tickets are $5 for adults and can be purchased at the game or by calling the ticket office at 919-515-2106. Children 17 and under are admitted free.
