NC State Captures Duke Golf Classic

DURHAMN, NC (Oct. 16, 2000) -- Chris Mundorf shot a 213 (-3) and finsihed second to lead
the NC State men's golf team to a first-place finish at the Duke Golf
Classic on Monday. Mundorf was just two strokes behind Wake Forest's
Brent Wanner.
The Pack, which shot a +12 876 for the tournament, edged out Augusta State,Duke and Virginia Tech, which all tied for second.
Mundorf shot a 68 on Monday to pace the Wolfpack, which entered the final round in second-place. Mark Tullo also recorded a top 10 finish as he was sixth, which puts him at even for the tournament. Tullo fired 70's in his final two rounds on Sunday and Monday.
David Sanchez was tied for 38th overall and Garth Mulroy was 76th of the Wolfpack.
