Wolfpack Women Move up to 3rd in Rankings

RALEIGH, N.C. - (Jan. 3) NC State's unbeaten women's basketball team will carry a #3 national ranking into its big ACC clash with North Carolina on Monday night.

The Wolfpack, which is 11-0 this season, received 1,023 points to finish behind top ranked Connecticut and Tennessee is this week's new top 25. NC State replaced Louisiana Tech in the 3rd spot.

North Carolina, which will carry a 9-2 mark into tonight's game against the Pack, is ranked 9th in this week's poll.

NC State is 2-0 in conference play while the Tar Heels are 1-0.
