Erb, a 6-6 senior center, recorded a season-high 32 points against Texas on Sunday in the ACC/Big XII Challenge. For the week, she averaged 23 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. She hit 65 percent from the floor and 84 percent from the free throw line. The Lakewood, Ohio native currently ranks fifth in the ACC in scoring (14.9), fifth in rebounding (8.0), second in field goal percentage (52.9) and third in free throw percentage (81.9).
Simpson, a 6-0 rookie, came off the bench to score a career high 26 points and lead NC State to a 80-75 overtime win over #9 Duke on Thursday. For the week, she averaged 18.6 points per game in 19 minutes per outing. The Reidsville native hit 59 percent from the floor, including 52 percent from three-point range.
