NC State Netters Play at the ACC Indoors

WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- The doubles tennis squad of Eric Jackson and
Brian Cowman advanced to the second round of the ACC Indoor Championships on
Friday before falling to the North Carolina tandem of Chad Riley and Assaf
Droric, 8-3. Earlier in the day, Jackson and Cowman had advanced by topping
Johan Hansen and Brett Mauro, 8-4. Fellow Pack member Shane Sealey was
teamed up with Wake Forest's Brian Murphy, but the two lost in the first
round to the team of Xavier Lusan and Trystan Meniane, 8-6.
Playing unattached were NC State teammates Ryan Boward and Chad Kilgore. Boward and Kilgore were defeated in the first round by the team of Riley and Droric, 8-6.
While NC State no longer has any performers alive in doubles play, singles action is slated to being tomorrow. Eric Jackson, seeded at No. 7, will meet Tim Bibby of Georgia Tech tomorrow. Also in action for the Pack will be Shane Sealey and Brian Cowman. Unattached NC State performers in singles action tomorrow will include Jeff Smith, Bryce McGrory, Deval Desai, Brad Kilgore, Ryan Boward and Geoff Mullen.
