Strader Earns Player Of The Week

RALEIGH, N.C. - (Jan. 20) Each week women's tennis coach Kay Louthian and her assistant, Curt Speerschneider will recognize one of there players for their accomplishments on and off the court. The award will be based on a points system. Points are earned if a player wins a match, does well in the classroom, earns player of the week honors, or does any random acts of goodness. At the end of the season the player with the most points will be recognized.
This week's honoree is freshman Landis Strader from Greensboro. Strader teamed with fellow freshman Loni Worsley to defeat Jennifer Fayad and Donna Altenburger of Appalachian State, 8-5 in No. 3 doubles during the Pack's opening dual match of the season. Strader was also recognized for her hard work during practice throughout the week.
