Lewis was named the ACC Player of the Week after leading NC State to a 3-0 record last week in ACC play, including two league road wins. The 5-10 guard averaged 17.3 points in the three wins and hit 60 percent (9-15) from behind the arc. Lewis also contributed 10 assists and seven steals for the week. She had her best game against #9 North Carolina with 20 points, including hitting five of eight three pointers, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Chones was named the ACC Rookie of the Week for the third time this year. She averaged 11.0 points and 11.3 rebounds for NC State in three ACC wins.. The 6-3 rookie grabbed a career high 20 rebounds and scored 13 points in a 79-72 win at Chapel Hill over #9 North Carolina. That matches the third highest rebound total for a single game in school history. Chones shot 57.8 percent from the floor on the week and 75 percent from the free throw line.
