Thori Bryan figures she might as well play the game she loves while she still can. The former NC State soccer star, who played for the two time USISL champion Raleigh Wings over the summer, has accepted an offer to continue her career with a professional team in Denmark.
"A teammate of mine (Kristy Whelchel) from the Wings went over there and told her coach about me," Bryan said. "The coach e-mailed me and then called. That's basically how it came about."
The 25-year-old native of Joppatowne, Maryland isn't lacking in international experience. Bryan played for the U.S. National Team every year from 1993 through 97. During that time, she participated in the 1995 Women's World Cup in Sweden.
In addition to playing for the Raleigh Wings, Bryan has spent the last year working as a promotions coordinator for Wolfpack Sports Marketing.
