Holt Makes TD Catch in NFL Debut
9/13/1999 12:00:00 AM | Football
ST. LOUIS -- (Sept. 12) It didn't taken the St. Louis Rams long to figure out that Torry Holt has a nose for the end zone. In his first NFL regular season game, the former NC
State star made a 20-yard touchdown grab in helping the Rams to a opening
day 27-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
On the day, Holt had three catches for 36 yards. Perhaps more importantly, his presence has given the Rams an added option in the passing game that they haven't had in recent years. Just ask veteran receiver Isaac Bruce, who took advantage of some single coverage opportunities to haul in eight Curt Warner throws for 92 yards.
