Chones Named ACC Rookie of the Week

Greensboro, NC - (Dec. 13) For the second time this season, NC State's Kaayla Chones has been tabbed as the ACC's Rookie of the Week. The 6-3 power forward led the #4 Wolfpack Women to a 82-54 win over New Orleans on Sunday.
Chones shot 73 percent from the floor (8 of 11) to score 18 points while also grabbing a game-high eight rebounds and adding two assists and two steals. The Pepper Pike, Ohio native is the Wolfpack's leading scorer (13.8 ppg) and rebounder (8.3 rpg).
