NC State shot 46 percent from the field, including 50 percent from behind the three-point line. The Hungarian club managed only 35 percent from the floor and nine percent from behind the arc. The Wolfpack held a decisive advantage on the boards, outrebounding the foreign team 46-28.
"I was very pleased with what we did out there defensively," stated Yow. "And on the offensive end, we were taking good shots and not forcing shots out there, and that really pleases me."
Coach Yow and the Wolfpack Women will get its first test of the season next Sunday in the State Farm Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic in Knoxville, TN. NC State will face Rutgers, a preseason number one by Street & Smith's, in the prestigious event. Tip is slated for 1 p.m. and will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
