Ryan Boward Wins At ITA Tourney

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (Nov. 3) - NC State's men's tennis player, Ryan Boward, impressed in the qualifying round of the 1999 Top of the Hill/ITA South Atlantic Championships. Boward disposed of Chris Erickson of William and Mary, 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (5). Boward will face off against Jakob Widange of High Point tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. Widange won his first round match-up with Roberto Fernandez of East Tennessee State, 6-2, 6-2.

Other members of the Pack that will see action tomorrow are Eric Jackson and Brian Cowman. Jackson will meet Brad Sullivan of East Carolina in the Main Draw Singles bracket, starting at 1:30 p.m. Jackson will also team up with Cowman in the Main Draw Doubles bracket tomorrow. That match, against Lux and Stone of James Madison, is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.

All matches will be held at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on the campus of North Carolina.
