Barragan and Nicholls advanced after winning a close match over Amy Bartlett and Vilmarie Castellvi of Tennessee, 8-6. They then fell in the semifinals, 8-5, to Ivana Belanic and Linda Mattson of Mississippi State. Worsley and Strader advanced after defeating Ernelie Isaksson and Krista Thomson of Furman by default. They also lost in the semifinals, being knocked off by Crystal Cleveland and Meiling Parks of Tennessee. The two combo's will square off against each other third place match on Saturday.
Marissa and Katrina Gildemeister will be playing for fifth place in the #1 doubles flight on Saturday as they face Michaela Havelkova and Amy Thomas of Minnesota. Action will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
