Erb, Lewis Named Preseason All-ACC

Greensboro, NC (October 12) -- NC State's Summer Erb and Tynesha Lewis were both named to the preseason All-ACC team by a vote of the media conducted at the conference's annual women's basketball media day. Rounding out the five member team were Erin Stovall of Virginia, Niesha Butler of Georgia Tech and North Carolina's Nikki Teasley.
Erb, the 1999 ACC Player of the Year, was named the preseason choice to repeat as 2000 Player of the Year. The 6-6 senior led the league a year ago with 21.5 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per contest.
In voting for the league's preseason poll, the Wolfpack Women were selected as conference runner-up to North Carolina. NC State received 302 points, including 14 first-place votes.
