RALEIGH – The NC State men's soccer team has added Leon Krapf to its roster in advance of the 2017 season, head coach George Kiefer announced Monday.
Â
A goalkeeper from Germany, Krapf has spent the last eight years competing with 1. FC Nürnberg in the second division of German soccer, the 2. Bundesliga. The club finished third (of 18) in the league table during the 2015-16 campaign and recently finished 12th this season.
Â
"This was an important move for us because we desire competition in every position, whether it's a 9, a 6, or a goalkeeper," Kiefer said. "When you have competition in every spot, it helps the development of each and every player on the team."
