As a Junior (2023): Made 15 appearances with 13 starts…Returned to the pitch following a season-ending injury prior to the 2022 season…Made her 2023 debut at Colorado, logging 35 minutes of the bench with two shots…Recorded two assists, both in ACC play at Wake Forest (Sept. 21) and at Virginia Tech (Oct. 5)…Finished the season with eight shots and three shots on goal in 1,110 total minutes on the pitch.
As a Sophomore (2022): Missed the season due to injury.
As a Freshman (Fall 2021): One of four freshmen to start all 20 matches on the year, totaling 1,691 minutes on the field…Her 1,691 minutes were the fourth-most among the team…Tallied her first career assist on September 5 vs. Elon and her first career goal on September 9 vs. Oklahoma…Also tallied an assist on October 7 at No. 4 Duke (Annika Wohner’s equalizer) and a goal on October 24 vs. Syracuse…Seven of her 14 shots were on target…Played a career-high 110 minutes on October 7 at No. 4 Duke, and played at least 90 minutes on eight other occasions...Named to the ACC All-Freshman Team and tabbed as the 29th-best freshman in the nation on TopDrawerSoccer's Top 100 Freshmen List.
Prior to NC State: Kawagishi arrives in the United States from Japanese club Cerezo Osaka, where she captained the club to success since 2015. In addition, she has represented Japan at the National Team level, last doing so in the U17 Torneo delle Nazioni in Italy.
