- Qualifed for NCAA Championships in the 100 free, 200 free, and 100 back
- Contributed to two ACC gold medal winning relays: the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay
- Earned silver medals in the 100 free and 800 free relay at ACC Championships
- Broke the school record in the 100 free during prelims with a time of 41.03
- Captured bronze in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke at ACC Championships
- Set a new school record in the 200 freestyle (1:30.92) at ACC ChampionshipsÂ
- Recorded three first-place finishes against North Carolina in the 200 free, 100 fly, and 400 freestyle relay
- Posted a personal best and won the 200 freestyle at the Wolfpack Elite Invite, while also setting a personal best in the 100 fly
- Earned ACC Swimmer of the Week honors after clocking the fastest 100 free time nationally with a time of 41.21 in his sophomore debut at The Dual Meet Tournament
- Claimed his first World Aquatics medal, earning bronze in the 100m freestyle at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup Stop #1 in Carmel, Ind.
- Represented Team Germany at the World Aquatics Championships, competing individually in the 50m and 100m butterfly events
- Earned All-American honors as a member of NC State's 800 freestyle relay, which placed 7th at the NCAA Championships with a time of 6:06.95
- Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle events

- At the 2022 Junior Pan Pacs, the Eagle Aquatics product won a pair of gold medals in the boys’ 400 free and 400 medley relays, and added an individual silver in the 50 free.
-  Lowered the  U.S. boys’ 15-16 National Age Group Record in the 100 free (48.81)
- In addition to owning the boys’ 15-16 NAG record in the long course 100 free, Winkler also holds the mark in short course yards, having gone 41.96 in March 2023 to become the first 16 & under swimmer under the 42-second barrier.
