Kevin Happ serves as the director of operations for NC State swimming and diving and is in charge of the program’s day-to-day operations.
Before joining the Wolfpack, Happ worked for Princeton University, where he served as the Assistant Director of Aquatics for Facilities. While at Princeton, he was responsible for all home contests for swimming and diving and water polo. He also handled all facility needs including schedule, maintenance, staffing, and coordination with the athletic department. While in New Jersey, he was also an assistant coach for the Princeton Piranha Swim Team.
After college, Happ went on to coach for SwimMAC Carolina in Charlotte, N.C. from 2011 to 2015. At SwimMAC, he worked in the north division and was an Assistant Senior One coach, Masters coach, and Directory of Auxiliary Programming. While in Charlotte, he was the head swimming and diving coach for Lake Norman Charter School. He led the team to four conference titles, one regional championship, and multiple individual and relay state championships at the 1A/2A level. He was voted Big South Conference Coach of the Year.
A native of Solon, Ohio, Happ swam for Indiana University from 2006 to 2010 and was a captain his senior year. He graduated with a B.S. in Recreation Sports Management in 2010 before earning a M.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Administration/Sports Management.
