Men's Soccer
Paul Forster
- Title:
- Director of Analytics
Paul Forster has been added to the NC State men’s soccer staff as the program’s Director of Analytics, head coach George Kiefer announced on August 25, 2017.
Forster will be assisting the Wolfpack from nearby North Carolina FC, where he is the Director of Soccer for the NCFC Youth program.
“In my first few weeks in Raleigh, Paul is one of the first guys I met with,” Kiefer said. “When you look at his pedigree and his experience both in the college game and at the youth level, what I like about him is that he’s not in the office every day so he’s able to give us an outside view of the team. We expect that he will be very critical of the things that we are doing, and I really trust his eye for the game and how he can pick opponents apart.”
Forster has collegiate assistant coaching experience at UNC Wilmington, SUNY Buffalo, and Wake Forest University. He has youth coaching experience as the Director of Coaching for the Twin City Soccer Association and presently as the Director of Soccer for NCFC Youth.
Forster played college soccer at UNC Wilmington from 1995-98 and holds a USSF A Coaching License. He is a native of Newcastle, England.
“I am delighted to be joining Coach Kiefer and his staff,” Forster said. “It is clear in talking with Coach Kiefer what aspirations he has for the soccer program as a whole and that excites me. Working for such a wonderful institution that competes in the best soccer conference in the nation is a great opportunity for me.”
Paul resides in Raleigh with his wife Yexenia and his two daughters, Amelia (13) and Eva (8).
