Munro played an integral role in the growth of ticket revenue for the athletic department by more than $2 million from 2013 to 2018.

In addition, Munro served the RedHawks in a major gifts capacity.
Prior to his time Miami Ohio, Munro spent a year and a half serving in various capacities at Ohio University. Among his roles were Assistant Director of Development where he managed the Bobcat Representative Program and premium seating for football and men's basketball games. He also assisted with all aspects of the Ohio Bobcat Club annual fund.
