Blake Wickerham joined the NC State Sports Medicine staff in August 2013. He is currently the full time athletic trainer for the Men’s Soccer Program.
Originally from Michigan, Wickerham graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. In addition, he completed a Master of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Sports Management from NC State University.
Upon arriving to NC State, Wickerham served as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Cross Country, Track, & Field Program for two years. Upon finishing his Master’s he was hired full time with direct oversight of the Cheerleading and Tennis programs. After a year, he returned to the Cross Country and Track & Field squads prior to taking over as the Athletic Trainer with Men’s Soccer.
Wickerham is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician – Basic, and certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment.
Wickerham and his wife Colleen reside in Clayton, NC with their two dogs, Ringo and Monte.
