In 2010: Selfless player who moved from defensive back to halfback just two weeks before the season opener and ended up starting at that position in the first eight games ... Third-leading rusher on the team with 320 yards ... Best performance was 75 yards on 18 carries in the win at Georgia Tech ... Left the Florida State game with a head injury, he didn't play in three of the last five games ... Moved back to safety during spring workouts and should play there this fall.
In 2009: Redshirted the season ... Earned a 3.123 GPA for the fall semester and was invited to participate in the 2010 freshman convocation at NC State ... Named the offensive scout team player of the week versus Pittsburgh and won the award for the defense before the UNC victory ... Was the scout team quarterback for a month during the season.
Prep: Played most of his senior season at quarterback and running back under Coach Mike Falluer at Northwest Whitfield County High School ... Led the area in rushing with 878 yards and 18 touchdowns... Passed for 782 yards and three scores to lead the area with 121 points scored... Selected as the player of the year for the area... Given the Bruin Award for best all-around player as a senior... A Class 4A first-team all-state selection his senior year... Named to the Atlanta Journal Constitution's Georgia Top 150...Named to the All-Southeast Region class of 2009 by Prep Star... During his junior campaign, he registered 99 tackles, and seven interceptions... Also played running back, rushing 43 times for 428 yards and nine touchdowns in 2007... Tallied 56 tackles and three interceptions as a sophomore... Named to the all-area team for three straight years, as a defensive back his sophomore and junior seasons, and as the quarterback his senior year... Also ran track ... Majoring in human biology.
