Celebrating a 3rd Straight ACC Tournament Championship

The 2021-2022 season is one for the history books and we celebrate the success of our Wolfpack Women on and off the court.
AS A TEAM:
- Set a new single-season program record for victories with 32-4 mark
- Swept the ACC Tournament and regular-season crowns for the third time in team history and the first time since 1984-85
- Won third-straight ACC Tournament title
- Won ACC regular season title for the first time since 1990 after going 17-1 in league action during the regular season
- Reached the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight for the second time in team history and first time since 1998 NCAA Tournament No. 1 seed for the second year in a row after making that a first last season
- Reached 400 ACC wins with victory over UNC on Jan. 6, becoming the first league team to hit that mark
- Secured 25+ win season for 13th time in team history and fifth time in Coach Moore era; seventh 20+ win season in a row under Coach Moore’s leadership
HOME ATMOSPHERE:
- Sold out nine games during the 2021-22 season, a program record
- 10th nationally in cumulative attendance: 89,382
- 2nd nationally in percent capacity: 85.53%
- Averaged 4,704 fans in a 5,500 seat arena
- Went perfect 9-0 in ACC play at home in 2021-22
SCHEDULE:
- NET ranking of No. 2
- Defeated nine nationally-ranked opponents, marking the most such wins in a single season for the team
- Two wins against fellow top-five opponents in No. 2 Maryland and No. 3 Louisville
- Played one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the nation, tying for the national lead in number of fellow Power Five teams played with seven
- All four losses were to opponents ranked in the Top 25
RANKINGS:
- Finished the year ranked No. 3 in the AP Top 25, tying its program-best mark
- Featured in the season-ending Top 10 four seasons in a row, extending a program-best streak
- Ranked fifth or higher in every poll this season
- Owns nation’s best active AP Top 5 streak at 34 polls in a row
Been ranked in the AP Top 5 since Dec. 7, 2020, in the Top 10 since Dec. 9, 2019 and in the Top 25 since Feb. 5, 2018
BALANCE:
- Eight different players led us in scoring this season
- Nine players who shot 40+ percent (min. 100 attempts), the second-most such players by any team in the nation
- 10 players hit 10+ points in a game, eight players hit 15+ points, six players hit 18+ points and three hit 20+ points
