Honoring Black Excellence
February is National Black History Month and during the NC State Men's and Women's Basketball's first home games in February, the Pack will be wearing special Adidas HBE (Honoring Black Excellence) jerseys. The cream colored uniforms have a row of flowers down the side that symbolize "give them their flowers while they are still here". The flower featured on the Pack's jerseys is the Dogwood, the state flower of North Carolina. The uniforms are meant to not just celebrate history, but also celebrate the here and now. They are to show love and acknowledgement to Black leaders and influencers of today and tomorrow.
