College Baseball Foundation Names Dudan and Marohn to 2026 Pitcher of the Year Watch List

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – NC State Baseball starting pitchers Jacob Dudan and Ryan Marohn have been named to the 2026 Pitcher of the Year watch list by the College Baseball Foundation, the organization announced on Wednesday.
The list, which includes 142 of the nation's top hurlers, highlights the best mound performers so far in the 2026 season. Only 15 ACC pitchers made the list.
Dudan is 4-0 this season with a 1.11 ERA. In 24.1 innings, he has allowed three earned runs, struck out 33 batters, and issued only three walks. Opponents are hitting just .163 against him.
The Huntersville, N.C., native pitched a career-high seven innings in the Wolfpack's win over Princeton, setting a personal best with 11 strikeouts. In three of his four starts, he has recorded double-digit strikeouts, ranking second in the ACC for strikeouts. Dudan is one of 21 players nationwide who have four wins this season.
Marohn is 2-0 with a 1.32 ERA. Opponents are batting .265 against him, while the Chantilly, Va., native has 20 strikeouts and six walks in 13.2 innings pitched. In the preseason, Marohn was named to the Pitcher of the Year watch list by Baseball America and was a preseason Third-team All-American by Perfect Game and the NCBWA.
The National Pitcher of the Year Award was first awarded in 2009.
