Lenovo Center to Upgrade Lower Bowl Ahead of 2026-2027 NC State Men’s Basketball Season
2/9/2026 4:00:00 PM | Men's Basketball
NC State men's basketball ticket holders can expect exciting enhancements at Lenovo Center beginning in fall 2026, while maintaining the integrity of their current seating experience.
As part of the venue's ongoing $300 million renovation project, Lenovo Center will add seating capacity for NC state men's basketball, increasing total capacity to over 20,000. These updates are designed to meet increasing demand across Lenovo Center events, with a focus on maintaining fan comfort and the quality of the live event experience.
Importantly for current season ticket holders the added seating will be achieved primarily through a reconfiguration of aisles in the lower bowl. These sections will transition from (7) total sections on each side, to (5) larger sections, with more center court options. Most seat widths will not change, and the project is being designed to minimize impacts to existing seating locations. Select areas of the 300 level will also see modest seating increases.
The Centennial Authority Board has approved the purchase and installation of new seating throughout the lower bowl and select areas of the arena, with installation scheduled for July and August. NC State will communicate with any season ticket holders whose seating may be impacted as details are finalized.
Beyond seating, fans can also expect several game day enhancements that will directly improve the overall arena experience. Renovations already underway include concourse finish upgrades, updated restrooms, expanded concession options including Grab-N-Go access, and the development of a new View Bar in the 300 level. These improvements are designed to improve traffic flow, reduce wait times, and create a more comfortable and enjoyable environment throughout the building.
Additional upgrades include enhanced floor-level suites and the addition of a new multi-purpose space, all aimed at elevating the Lenovo Center experience for Wolfpack fans. Access to the new Lenovo Legend Club and Courtside Seats are available for the 2026-27 season and beyond. Click here for more information.
NC State Athletics remains committed to transparency throughout the renovation process and ensuring season ticket holders remain at the center of these improvements. Stay tuned for Phase 2 announcements in the upcoming months. Exciting changes will include a heavy emphasis on upgrades to the 100-Level of the building including a refresh of the main concourse, concessions, and restrooms. Additional details on further renovation phases will be shared later this year. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates at GoPack.com.
