CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After an impressive performance in both non-conference and conference matches, NC State men's soccer earns both of the ACC Player of the Week awards.
NC State improved to 7-0-1 (1-0-1 ACC) last week after defeating William & Mary 7-0 at home on Tuesday and Boston College 2-0 on the road on Friday.
Forward Donavan Phillip earns the ACC Offensive Player of the Week award after scoring six goals across the two games. The junior continues to shock the nation, scoring four goals in 25 minutes in the match against William & Mary and then two goals over Boston College which both were with his head. After securing his second hat trick of the season and then another brace, Phillip leads the NCAA in scoring with 12 total goals.
Goalkeeper Logan Erb earns the ACC Defensive Player of the Week award after collecting two saves against William & Mary and four saves against Boston College, adding two more shutouts under his belt. With eight consecutive shutouts, Erb has now ensured that the Pack is the only team in the country to not yet concede a goal.
This marks Erb's second ACC Defensive Player of the Week award in his career and Phillip's first ACC Offensive Player of the Week award.
