Wolfpack Bring Home 6 Medals At TYR Pro Championships

IRVINE, CA - The Wolfpack swimming team made a strong showing at the 2025 TYR Pro Championships, held August 5-8 in Irvine, California, with six athletes representing the Wolfpack. Competing were Hudson Williams, Aiden Hayes, Lance Norris, Erika Pelaez, Jerry Fox, and Arsenio Bustos. Together, they brought home a total of six medals over the course of the four-day meet.
After missing last season due to injury, Aiden Hayes made an impressive return to competition, dominating multiple events and landing on the podium three times. Hayes earned gold in the 50m backstroke (24.74), silver in the 100m butterfly (51.24), and bronze in the 50m butterfly (23.57), marking a successful comeback.
Erika Pelaez, a sophomore, also made a national statement with two silver medals in the 50m backstroke (28.07) and 100m backstroke (1:00.29). She was also a two-time finalist in the 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly, finishing sixth in both events.
Senior Lance Norris delivered in the distance events, claiming bronze in the 1500m freestyle on the final day of the competition with a strong time of 15:12.23.
Both Hudson Williams and Jerry Fox advanced to finals in their respective events, narrowly missing the podium. Williams finished fourth in the 50m backstroke (25.02), while Fox placed fourth in the 100m freestyle (48.60).
