Athlon Names Eight From Pack Football to Preseason Honors

RALEIGH, N. C. – A total of eight members of the 2025 Wolfpack football squad earned preseason All-ACC honors from Athlon Sports. Tight End Justin Joly was named to the Preseason All-American Third Team as well by the publication.
NC State had five members of its offense listed among the four teams, in addition to three on defense.
This marks the second preseason All-America Team for Justin Joly after being recognized by the Walter Camp Foundation earlier and being named to the second team. Joly was named First Team All-ACC Offense by Athlon as well.
Running back Hollywood Smothers made the All-ACC Second Team Offense as an All-Purpose player. Joining Smothers on the second team is offensive lineman Jacarrius Peak.
Linebacker Sean Brown and defensive lineman Brandon Cleveland were named to the All-ACC Second Team Defense.
Wide Receiver Noah Rogers and offensive lineman Anthony Carter, Jr. received All-ACC third team selections.
Rounding out the list of the Pack is linebacker Caden Fordham, who was named to the fourth team on defense.
