RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State Athletics has posted the second-highest multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR) in school history, according to data released today by the NCAA national office. The Wolfpack posted a 994 mark for the period of 2020-21 to 2023-24.
Nine of the Wolfpack's 20 teams earned a perfect 1000, while 19 of the 20 teams are above the national average for their sport.
The football squad earned a 987 multiyear APR, the highest score in program history. It marks the second-straight year that Dave Doeren's squad has posted an all-time high.
APR is a term-by-term measure of eligibility and retention for Division I student-athletes that was developed by the NCAA as an indicator of eventual graduation rates. The formula is based on the eligibility and retention of each scholarship student-athlete and rates are based on the past four years' performance.
