
CJ Bailey’s Performance Earns Him Multiple National Awards

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State quarterback CJ Bailey's dynamic performance, which helped lead the Wolfpack to a win over No. 8 Georgia Tech, has put him in the national spotlight as Bailey received multiple national awards, including the Maxwell Award Player of the Week, Davey O'Brien National QB of the Week, and the Walter Camp Offensive Player of the Week.
Bailey becomes the seventh Wolfpack Player to be named a player of the week by Walter Camp and the first since 2022.

On Saturday, Bailey steered the Wolfpack to a 48-36 upset of No. 8 and previously unbeaten Georgia Tech by totaling 375 yards of offense and three touchdowns. Through the air, he connected on 24 of 32 passes (75 percent) for 340 yards and two scores. He also added 34 rushing yards and a touchdown. Bailey had a total quarterback rating of 97.5 and a passing efficiency rating of 184.9.
He becomes only the second ACC quarterback this season to win the Davey O'Brien award. The win for the Wolfpack was the first win against a top-ten opponent since 2021 against Clemson.
The Miami, Fla. native already ranks fifth in school history in career passing ypg with 224.2. His 4,484 career yards already rank 10th in school history. He has three 300+ yard games this season (five in his career). Ranks ninth in school history in career passing touchdowns with 34. Ranks 12th in the FBS in completion percentage (.702) - the fourth-best mark in the ACC and is responsible for 120 points this season - No. 16 mark in FBS.
NC State finished with 583 total yards of offense and scored on eight of 10 drives, with six going for touchdowns.
