
Broadfoot, Slama Secure All-American Status with Round of 32 Victories at NCAA Individual Championships

ORLANDO, Fla. - No. 74 Gabriella Broadfoot and No. 72 Mia Slama led NC State women's tennis at day two of the NCAA Individual Championships, each advancing from the singles round of 32 to secure ITA All-American status. Broadfoot becomes a two-time All-American after earning doubles recognition last season, while Slama collects the first All-America honor of her career. They are the program's first singles All-Americans since Amelia Rajecki in 2024.

Broadfoot delivered another strong performance, defeating No. 93 Na Dong of Baylor in straight sets. She controlled the opening set, 6-3, and battled through a tight second frame to close out the win, 7-5, and earn her place in the round of 16.

Slama followed with an upset over Florida's No. 55 Gabia Paskauskas, rolling to a dominant 6-3, 6-1 victory to advance.

In doubles action, both Wolfpack pairs opened competition on Wednesday and split their results. No. 10 Victoria Osuigwe and Broadfoot made their NCAA Doubles Championship debut as a tandem, cruising past No. 38 Daria Smetannikov and Mia Kupres of Texas A&M, 6-2, 6-2. Their win marks the second straight season in which NC State has advanced a doubles team to the second round.

No. 25 Jasmine Conway and Anna Zyryanova were also in action, falling in a tight match decided by a 10-point tiebreak against Arkansas' No. 78 Anet Koskel and Carolina Gomez Alonso.
