
Men’s Soccer Adds Two Spring Transfers

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State men's soccer head coach Marc Hubbard announced the additions of Georgia State transfer Justin McLean and Mercer transfer Carlos Santamaria.
Both McLean and Santamaria have already joined for the spring 2025 semester.

2024 (Junior at Georgia State) – Led his team in goals (five) and recorded an assist to post 11 points…Made 15 appearances with 12 starts…Scored one game-winning goal
2023 (Sophomore at Georgia State) – Led the team in assists with five…Had the second most points on the team with 14…Netted four goals…Started all but one match
2022 (Freshman at Georgia State) – Saw action in all 19 matches, on the third match earned the starting nod…Led the team in assists with seven, tied for third most in the Sun Belt…Netted two goals, one of which was a game winner…Listed as No. 40 on 2022 Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 Freshmen
Carlos Santamaria • 5th Year • Midfielder • Dallas, Texas • Mercer
2024 (Senior at Mercer) – Led his team with 13 points which included three goals…Tied for leading the SoCon with seven assists…Started and appeared in all 17 matches…Preseason All-SoCon selection
2023 (Junior at Mercer) – Recorded 20 starts in 21 matches…Tallied four goals and four assists…Netted two game-winning goals
2022 (Sophomore at Oral Roberts) – Aided his team in earning a Summit League regular season title…Played in 17 games, earned 14 starting nods…Netted five goals and recorded an assist…Scored three game-winning goals
2021 (Freshman at Iowa Western Community College) – Made appearances in 13 matches with two starts…Named Region XI Defensive MVP…Named to the Region XI All-Tournament team…Aided his team in winning the NJCAA DI National Championship…Posted one goal and three assists
