Dudan Named Freshman All-American By D1Baseball, Baseball America

Earns First Team Honors from D1Baseball, Second Team Honors From Baseball America
RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State freshman relief pitcher Jacob Dudan was named a D1Baseball and Baseball America Freshman All-American, as announced by the publications over the past week.
Dudan, who also earned ACC All-Freshman Team honors, led the Wolfpack with 27 pitching appearances, all of which came out of the bullpen. Dudan's six saves ranked second on the team as the freshman did not allow an earned run in his first eight collegiate appearances.
Dudan finished his standout freshman season with a 4-2 record, 4.50 ERA and 56 strikeouts over 48.0 innings pitched. Dudan led a talented group of Wolfpack freshman pitchers with 56 strikeouts.
The freshman's stellar year continued into the postseason as he was named to the NCAA All-Raleigh Regional Team after leading the Pack with 10 strikeouts in the NCAA Raleigh Regional, recording a save and posting a 1.80 ERA over 5.0 innings pitched. His four total pitching appearances in the NCAA Tournament tied for the team lead as he tossed 13 strikeouts and limited opposing batters to a .207 batting average against him.
Dudan also notched the win in the decisive NCAA Super Regional game against seventh-seeded Georgia on June 10, escaping a bases-loaded jam and pitching 1.2 innings of relief with two strikeouts.
The right-hander also was named to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Summer League Tour roster following the conclusion of his freshman season.
