Amezcua and Olivares Leon Wrap Up Season in NCAA Regional Action

BERMUDA RUN, N.C. – Wolfpack women's golfers Lauren Olivares Leon and Isabel Amezcua wrapped up the 2023-24 season representing the team at the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional this week.
Olivares Leon finished inside the individual top 10, tying for seventh place with a three-round score of 210 (-6). The NC State junior shot two-under (70) in all three rounds, with four birdies in each of the last two days of competition. Olivares Leon now owns the two lowest 54-hole NCAA scores in program history, with her 210 in 2024 ranking behind last season's NCAA regional mark of 208 (-8).
Amezcua shot a one-under 71 in Monday's opening round and wrapped up the final tournament of the season with a cumulative score of 221 (+5). She birdied the last two holes of the regional on Wednesday.
This year marked the Pack's first time being represented by two different individuals at a regional. Olivares Leon capped off an All-ACC campaign with what was her fourth top-10 and sixth top-20 finish of the year.
