CHARLOTTE, N.C. – NC State women's golf junior Lauren Olivares Leon has been named to the 2024 All-ACC Women's Golf Team released by the league office.
Olivares Leon is the Pack's first all-conference honoree since 2017 and is the eighth golfer in program history to tab the honor. She leads the team with a 72.44 stroke average across nine tournaments played during the 2023-24 campaign.
The Celaya, Mexico, native's season won the individual title at the Briar's Creek Invitational in March, marking her second year claiming first place at that tournament. She kicked off her junior year by setting an NCAA record 60 (-11) in the first round of the Cougar Classic and has since earned five top-20 finishes and three top-10 finishes.
Olivares Leon already owns two of the top five single-season stroke averages in program history from 2022-23 (72.71) and 2021-22 (73.19). She is also just the second player in NC State women's golf history to earn multiple career wins.
The All-ACC designation comes after Olivares Leon earned an individual bid alongside teammate Isabel Amezcua to compete in NCAA Championships regional action. The Wolfpack duo will compete in the Bermuda Run Regional hosted by Wake Forest from May 6-8 and will be battling for a spot to play at the final championships site later in May.
